DOMESTIQUE was founded in the fall of 1998 by William L. Travers. He began his career with Gorham Silver and quickly developed a taste for the finer things in life. His appreciation for fine dining blossomed as he worked within the Gourmet and Home Furnishings industry. He gained anl understanding of the tabletop and textiles industry and soon put his own dream into action. DOMESTIQUE.

With the development of the entertaining smock and table linens, his dream evolved into a tasteful line of high end dining products. The stainless steel flatware was a natural addition. It was at this point that Domestique took on a new energy.

As they say, the apple never falls far from the tree. His daughter Elissa joined him in the business in June of 1999, after five years of sales and marketing with F. Schumacher & Company. With a lot of energy and enthusiasm, they have expanded the line by adding new colors and products. They have increased warehouse space, added more staff and developed a catalog and web site.
